With the acquiescence of President Barack Obama, Libyan war criminal and murderer of his own citizens, Mohammar Gadhafi, is preparing to end a democratic revolt in Libya that has seen in many cases unarmed freedom fighters killed by Gadhafi's killers.
As people of Libya die fighting for democracy, the leader of the free world, Barack Obama, has voiced support for freedom fighters so long as some one else leads.
France, hardly a war mongering lot, has recognized the freedom fighters in Libya. The Arab League has voice support for a no fly zone over Libya which would have curtailed Gadhafi's use of his air force to kill democratic protesters.
The no fly zone if enforced when it was proposed a few weeks ago would have likely broke the back of Gadhafi and allowed the liberation movement to further gain a foothold.
Because of Obama's failure to lead, the situation has become much more dire for the freedom fighters and a no fly zone while a good idea may not give the assistance that is needed.
The Obama Administration has voiced support for the liberation movement but has done nothing to either render assistance or to even actively work to bring about the international effort the Administration apparently is waiting for.
The price of Obama's vacillation and weakness may be high for not only the liberation movement in the Middle East but for the United States in the long run.
Under Obama, the United States can only be seen as a weak kneed, has been leader of the free world which only supports freedom when it is safe and consistent with its ulterior interests.
This Obama policy flies in the face of what the American nation was built upon.

I'm all for democracy but the U. S. can't continue to intervene in sovereign nations and try to control their politics. AFganistan is a disaster and we can't get in or get out. We just continue to spent our resources while China waits and watches and plans their economic takeover.
